Betta Pi

Postby alpha91 » Thu Apr 22, 2010 7:28 pm

Guys, i just got 6 Betta Pi. Thought of posting here, so any other interested people could buy them if they want.
To be very honest, they arent good looking fish AT ALL, they are supposed to breed prolifically and grow very big.
Anyway,

I had warned yall. Ugly fish :D
These are taking frozen artemia, live tubifex worms, and even some Commercial Shrimp feed pellets...

:-) Most of the wild specimens are like this. They are kept only for their rarity.

Yeah Rarity and the fun. Like I wanted to start off with mouthbrooders. These are pretty hardy and good at first...

Hi Subhankar,
How are Betta Pi-s doing? Any luck in breeding them?
Any new clear pictures?
Want to see some clear pictures of them before I think of buying them when i go back to Bangalore.

Cheers,
Mohan.

After being extremely enthusiastic about artemia initially, these guys have now become just a little finicky. I havent yet starved them to start them onto pellets. So they have to make do with the odd insect i see here and there. (DAMN these insects. Always present when you dont want them, but never present when you have hungry and big fish :( )
These days, many a foolish bee commits suicide in my Smarag tub in the balcony. One such bee, i put into the tank.
